The heavy rain has continued in the Midlands and North of England over the past few days and April 2012 is set to be the wettest on record.

The river Ouse has twice burst its banks and the centre of the city of York is badly flooded.

I am most sorry to learn of the flooding, especially the river Ouse in the middle of York City.
